Fall Family Mini Sessions

Change is sometimes scary, but it can also be amazing! Photos by Rich Burkhart has gone through quite a few changes and growth over the past few years. Our wedding business has been a tremendous amount of fun and has definitely kept me busy. With weddings scheduled for nearly every weekend throughout the spring and fall it has become more and more difficult for me to fit in family sessions. We love family photo sessions and want to continue to provide the best experience possible for all of our wonderful clients.  So I am super excited to welcome Dominique Cook to the Photos by Rich Burkhart family!

Dominique is a mom and experienced photographer. She will be helping out with our family photography and will be able to work with you and your schedule. We have a wonderful opportunity coming up for you to meet Dominique. We are currently scheduling Fall Mini Sessions for Saturday October 14 at Forsyth Park. The 30 minute sessions will be perfect for getting a head start on holiday cards and gifts. Each session will be $250 and includes a $75 credit toward your holiday purchase.

Email for more info on our Fall Mini Sessions and feel free to email Dominique,, to say hi or schedule a family session.

Adorable Marshall House Elopement

The Marshall House is a beautiful venue and one of our favorites! While I have had the opportunity to document several weddings and receptions there I have never been on the porch overlooking Broughton Street. That finally changed for Savannah and Trey’s elopement. This sweet couple was married on the porch by Rev. Steve Schulte as they held their adorable boy, Easton.

We had such a wonderful time walking and chatting with them as we captured some gorgeous photos of them following the ceremony. Congratulations Savannah Trey! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Troup Square Engagement Session

It’s always frustrating to have something out of our control upset scheduled events! As hurricane Irma was moving toward the US there was concern that a northern shift in her track could bring it directly to Savannah. Due to the potential impact authorities called for evacuation, throwing a wrench into several weddings, sessions, and events we had scheduled. After returning home we spent the next few days cleaning our yard as well as helping out family and neighbors. So it was such a joy for us to finally put down the rake and get behind the camera for Alana and Brian’s engagement session. We chose Troup Square, which is a less traveled, but beautiful location to meet. We had a great time exploring the area along Habersham and Jones Streets while getting to know Alana and Brian. We can’t wait for their spring wedding!
