I am proud to say that photography and art is my love, my calling. After meeting my muse, the lovely Rebecca, I began to take on more weddings and engagement sessions. Falling in love allowed me to open my eyes and experience the love of others through my lens in an all new way. A month before our son was born, I left the newspaper to spend more time with my family, and to focus on growing Photos by Rich Burkhart.

Wormsloe Historic Site Engagement Photography

The Wormsloe State Historic Site is such a beautiful place to visit. We had a wonderful time getting to know Rebecca and Bobby as we strolled along under the gorgeous oak tree canopy during their recent engagement session. The fall colors were a perfect match for their outfits, and the afternoon light was amazing! We can’t wait to document their wedding next fall!

Factors Walk and Tybee Engagement Photography

Parking in downtown Savannah can sometimes be a challenge. As I was driving to Reynolds Square for Michelle and Chuck’s engagement session I found a great spot right on the square. It was a little tight, but I was sure I can fit. As I began to squeeze into the parking place I backed a little too far and lightly tapped the bumper of the car behind me. When I got out to get my camera I realized someone was sitting in the car and that someone turned out to be Michelle and Chuck. Talk about an ice breaker! Fortunately we all laughed about it and went on to have an amazing time strolling around Factors Walk. After a wardrobe change we headed out to Tybee Island to catch the sunset over the North Beach.

I had such a wonderful time chatting, laughing, and getting to know Michelle and Chuck during the session. I can’t wait to document their Wedding!
