One of the best parts of my job is getting to know a couple. During the process of every wedding I begin to build a relationship through the engagement session, planning, and of course, all of the time spent together on one of the most important days of their lives. So though I am always excited for a couple’s wedding day to arrive, I must admit I was super excited for Stephanie and Seth’s. My wife, Rebecca and I had a great time with them during their engagement session. They had real chemistry in front of the camera, but I was most excited about the location of their wedding. 3 years ago, on May 7, 2011 my wife and I had our reception at Old Fort Jackson, and I just couldn’t wait to go back and document a wedding at a place that means so much to us.
Our day started out documenting Stephanie and the ladies as they got ready at Savannah Bed & Breakfast. Then I ran over to the Lucas Theatre to spend a little time with Seth and his brothers before we all went back to Chatham Square for the “First Look.” They were all so relaxed and happy, making it so easy that I already had some pretty amazing photos before the ceremony even started. We arrived at Old Fort Jackson for the ceremony and reception and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! From the ceremonial firing of the cannon after the ceremony, to the sparkler sendoff, it was an absolutely perfect evening for capturing so many fun and special moments.
Congratulations Stephanie and Seth! Thank you for allowing Rebecca and I to relive our celebration through your amazing day.
