This past weekend, we had plans for a Savannah engagement session with Alison and Steve, beginning in Lafayette Square and working our way to Forsyth Park. The azaleas are blooming the trees are full of color, so it’s a perfect time for a colorful and bright photo session.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us. Since Steve is living in Philadelphia, he has limited availability to visit Alison and beautiful Savannah, so as the rain fell we decided to go to our back up plan and head over to the Georgia State Railroad Museum. My lovely wife used to work there, so I have visited the sight a few times. However I must say, I was a bit hesitant at the thought of an engagement session revolving around trains. Alison and Steve were game, so we gave it a chance, and boy am I glad we did!
It was a wonderful opportunity for me to explore a new location with Alison and Steve. As the rain eased up, we were able to capture a few photographs at different uncovered locations around the property and even got a few fun shots in the rain under the cover of an umbrella.
It turned out to be the perfect location for their fun engagement session and it proved that sometimes it is just best to let Mother Nature be your guide and just surrender, going along with the process.
Congratulations on your engagement Alison and Steve!
