Fall Family Mini Sessions

Change is sometimes scary, but it can also be amazing! Photos by Rich Burkhart has gone through quite a few changes and growth over the past few years. Our wedding business has been a tremendous amount of fun and has definitely kept me busy. With weddings scheduled for nearly every weekend throughout the spring and fall it has become more and more difficult for me to fit in family sessions. We love family photo sessions and want to continue to provide the best experience possible for all of our wonderful clients.  So I am super excited to welcome Dominique Cook to the Photos by Rich Burkhart family!

Dominique is a mom and experienced photographer. She will be helping out with our family photography and will be able to work with you and your schedule. We have a wonderful opportunity coming up for you to meet Dominique. We are currently scheduling Fall Mini Sessions for Saturday October 14 at Forsyth Park. The 30 minute sessions will be perfect for getting a head start on holiday cards and gifts. Each session will be $250 and includes a $75 credit toward your holiday purchase.

Email rich@photosbyrb.com for more info on our Fall Mini Sessions and feel free to email Dominique, info@photosbyrb.com, to say hi or schedule a family session.

Best of Family Photography 2015

I’m a little biased, but my favorite photo from 2015 is of my son, Spencer at Edisto Beach.

At the end of every year I am amazed to look back and see how many wonderful families we were able to work with during the year. 2015 was an amazing year for the Photos by Rich Burkhart family! We are so grateful for all of the new families we met, as well as all of those whom we have gotten to know over the years as we continue to document the growth of their family.

From maternity sessions to senior sessions and photos with the fur babies we have truly enjoyed being a part of capturing a moment of 2015 for so many amazing families! Rebecca, Spencer, and I are so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with all of you!

One Year and Growing

One year ago on April 28, I was sitting in a delivery room with my lovely wife wondering if our stubborn little guy would ever make an appearance. This year we find ourselves comforting our little man because he’s not feeling well. I can’t believe how far we have come in twelve short months. The past year has truly been an amazing journey, not to mention a quick one! It seems like only yesterday that we were bringing Spencer home from the hospital, and I was just hoping not to break him. I will admit that things started out a little rocky for me (I pinched his finger in the car seat buckle the second day he was home) but I did get better at it. There were quite a few nights when sleep deprivation challenged my sanity, but that moment, first thing in the morning when I pick him up and he pats my shoulder as he hugs me makes it all worthwhile.

Every diaper and every time I’ve had to change his clothes and mine because of spit up has all been worth it. Nothing beats seeing that smiling little face and his current zombie baby walk as he greets me when I pick him up from daycare. The mischievous look he gives me when he knows he is about to do something wrong or dropping his food on the floor because he thinks it’s funny to feed the dogs. Those are moments I cherish every day. When I look at his disheveled hair and big brown eyes I can’t help but to know how blessed I am to have he and Rebecca in my life. Thinking back to where I was seven years ago on April 28, 2008, I can see that it is only by the Grace of God that I am where I am today. That man and this one are worlds apart and I am truly grateful for my beautiful wife and our little monster!

Happy first birthday Spencer! Daddy loves you!
